I would highly recommend these for anyone who needs little bowls for craft work. I work with beads and these are perfect for sorting and keeping beads seperate for my different projects. These bowls were just what I was looking for. Although they are probably great in the kitchen, I got them for craft work.
A week after I bought them, I noticed they'd been feature in one of my beading magazines too. Last month I bought these great little bowls to hold my beads while I'm making jewelry. They've made my crafts significantly easier, and are a great price too. I definitely recommend them for use with any small parts projects. They're perfect because when you're done with the beads, you just pinch them and pour without a mess back into your storage container. They're shallow enough to use with seed beads, and the silicone means that they stay in the bowl without rolling around excessively.
These bowls are perfect for a pinch of an herb, but, because of the slight stickiness of the surface, not great for, say, a precise 1/2 teaspoon of salt. These nifty little pinch bowls are brightly colored and perfect for storing relatively coarse items in your mise en place. The silicone surface of the little bowls, though, is just a little tacky, and I've found that finer condiments like salt and flour stick to the inside of the bowls.
